Aryan Gupta, Panshul Bansal top NEET-UG with 715/720 as 1.1 million clear exam

Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana jointly topped NEET-UG 2026 with 715 out of 720 marks.

Around 1.1 million of nearly 2 million candidates qualified for about 137,000 MBBS seats and other undergraduate programmes.

The exam was cancelled and re-held on June 21 after a leak of multiple question papers.

Women outperformed men: 58% of qualified candidates were female, and 56.8% of women who appeared qualified versus 55.1% of men.

NTA announced results at 10:30 pm on July 16 to keep the medical-admission and counselling calendar on track.
