CM Vijay confirmed his film Jana Nayagan will release in theatres on July 23.

Jana Nayagan is Vijay's final film as an actor.

The film's poster now credits Vijay as "The Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C. Joseph Vijay" and features him in a cop uniform holding a sword.

The release was delayed due to censor certification issues and piracy, with over five minutes of footage leaked online.
