Bhuvneshwar Kumar turns off Ravichandran Ashwin’s ODI recall initiative: 'I've already played for India'

Bhuvneshwar Kumar said on an RCB podcast that he plays cricket for love of the game, not to return to the Indian team.

The 36-year-old last played for India in November 2022 and has not played Test cricket since 2018.

Kumar has had two strong IPL seasons with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, winning back-to-back titles.

Ravichandran Ashwin suggested Kumar be considered for the 2027 ODI World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

Kumar stated he has 'already played for India' and is 'at peace' with his career, crediting his family for keeping cricket out of home discussions.
