No Pant, no Samson, no Abhishek: Ashwin's India squad for 2027 WC

Ravichandran Ashwin named his 2027 ODI World Cup squad on ESPNcricinfo, dividing players into 'Yes', 'Maybe', and 'No' categories.

His 'Yes' list includes Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah.

Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, and Abhishek Sharma were placed in the 'No' category, alongside Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube.

Ashwin justified Bhuvneshwar Kumar's inclusion by saying he is needed for South African conditions and should play all tournaments to be primed.
