CWG Day 6 Live: India look to build on Monday's six-medal haul in Glasgow

India won six medals on Day 5 of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, including a historic gold by Sharmila Dhankar in women's F57 shot put, India's first para-athletics gold at the CWG.

Silver medals were won by Sarvesh Kushare, Valluri Ajaya Babu, and Gyaneshwari Yadav; bronze medals by Shilpa K. Shyla and Bindyarani Devi, bringing India's total tally to 10.

On Day 6, weightlifters Nirupama Devi Seram and Harjinder Kaur compete in finals, and five boxers (Preeti Pawar, Priya Ghanghas, Parveen Hooda, Jadumani Singh, Kapil Pokhariya) contest quarterfinals where victory secures at least bronze.

Athletics medal opportunities include Pooja Singh in women's high jump final and Gulveer Singh in men's 10,000m final; swimmers Sajan Prakash and Srihari Nataraj target semifinal places.
