Ayodhya seers get key role in Ram temple as religious panel revamped

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust reconstituted a new nine-member dharmik committee for the Ram temple, including five seers from Ayodhya.

The committee will oversee all religious affairs, including daily rituals, festivals, priest training, and coordination with Ayodhya's seers and mutts.

Trust treasurer Govind Dev Giri will chair the committee, which must follow the Vedic Ramanandi parampara.

The decision aims to placate local seers who alleged they were sidelined in temple management.

The Trust also decided to revive and make permanent a training institute for priests.
