Photo shows teen Nolan Wells at pool party before death

A viral photo shows Nolan Wells at a land-based pool party in Jackson County on July 5, a day before his body was found.

Attorney Ben Crump, hired by Wells's family, shared the photo on Instagram, noting he does not know if it is facts or rumors.

Wells, 18, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, went missing July 4 after boating to Horn Island with friends; his body was found July 6.

Crump stated the family is pursuing an independent autopsy, with the body being flown to Washington, D.C., for examination.

Jackson County Sheriff John Ledbetter said an investigation remains active, including a social media video of an argument on Horn Island.
