Photo of Nolan Wells at pool party verified as authentic

Attorney Ben Crump reposted a photo claiming to show Nolan Wells at a pool party in Jackson County on July 5.

The photo was actually taken on June 27 in Pass Christian, verified by metadata and Wells’ friend Tracetin Shepherd.

Crump stated on Instagram he does not know if the photo represents facts or rumors.

The original poster deleted the photo after false narratives emerged about it depicting a brutal murder.

The Clarion Ledger reported the unverified story did not match previously confirmed facts about the case.
