West Bengal forms 7th pay commission for state employees

West Bengal government constituted the 7th central pay commission on 22 July 2026.
The panel will review allowances, salaries, and service conditions for state government employees and pensioners.
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari stated the state aims to implement recommendations in FY 2026-27.
The commission must submit recommendations within six months, extendable by the state government.
