Pay commission: West Bengal govt appoints former IAS officer Atanu Chakraborty as Chairperson of 7th state CPC

West Bengal government constituted the 7th state central pay commission on 22 July.

Former IAS officer Atanu Chakraborty appointed as Chairperson of the panel.

The four-member commission will review allowances, salaries, and service conditions for state employees and pensioners.

Other members include Partha Mukhopadhyay, Partha Pratim Pal, and state finance secretary Devi Prasad Karanam.

Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari aims to implement recommendations in the current fiscal year 2026-27.
