‘Won’t let students’ voices be muzzled’: Sector-17 protest grows

Over 1,000 people protested at Sector 17 Plaza on the fourth day of the agitation, demanding accountability for alleged paper leaks in competitive exams and the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Student groups from Panjab University (PSU Lalkaar, Naujawan Bharat Sabha, SFS, Punjabnama, AFDR, Saakhi, SOPU, DISHA, AISA, political science students, and unaffiliated students) joined the demonstration.

National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO), Indian National Students’ Organisation (INSO), and Samajwadi Party leaders participated.

AIDYO's Ravi Aaftab stated that no independent investigation had been conducted into the NEET examination and that students protesting for their rights faced lathi blows.

Two doctors from Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College, Solan—Kangna and Navya—held a separate candle lighting, with Kangna noting low turnout among doctors.
