Second ghat line restored, Deccan Queen to resume ops from today

Central Railway restored the south east down line between Karjat and Lonavla on July 14 following intensive repair work.

The Deccan Queen (12123/12124) and CSMT–Pune Intercity Express (12127/12128) resume regular services from July 16.

Three goods trains were operated as trial runs before the first passenger train, 22107 CSMT–Latur Express, crossed the section at 20 kmph.

Most trains cancelled until July 17 are expected to be progressively restored from July 18.
