Anurag Jain named new Niti Aayog CEO
Anurag Jain, a 1989-batch IAS officer and current chief secretary of Madhya Pradesh, has been appointed as CEO of Niti Aayog for two years.
Niti Aayog had been without a full-time CEO since BVR Subramanyan's term ended in February.
Jain previously worked in the department of financial services during the launch of PM Jan Dhan Yojana, served in the PM's Office, and was DDA vice-chairperson.
He also worked on PM Gati Shakti in the department for promotion of industry and internal trade, and served as secretary in the transport and highways ministry.
The appointment comes after the reconstitution of Niti Aayog, which now has a new vice-chairperson and new members, except Rajiv Gauba.
