The Centre has appointed senior IAS officer Anurag Jain as the new Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog. This appointment comes months after economist Ashok Kumar Lahiri was named Vice Chairperson of the policy think tank.

NITI Aayog, formed in 2015, replaced the Planning Commission. The CEO is a key administrative position responsible for implementing the organization's vision.
