'Vijay is a courageous leader': DKS after TN CM agrees to defer Cauvery-related Bengaluru visit

Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar requested Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay to postpone his Bengaluru visit due to protests over the Cauvery water dispute.
Vijay agreed to defer his August 3 visit after farmers and political groups in Karnataka opposed the CWMA directive to release 3,500 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu for 15 days.
Shivakumar called Vijay a 'courageous leader' and said he requested the postponement to ensure a better atmosphere.
In Karnataka, protesters tore posters of Vijay's film 'Jananayagan' and some theatres halted its screening.
Karnataka has received only about 35% of its normal rainfall this year, worsening the water dispute.
