Iran summons Ukrainian envoy after condemning attack on commercial vessel in Caspian Sea

Iran accused Ukraine of attacking one of its commercial vessels in the Caspian Sea, causing an explosion that killed one sailor and injured another.

Tehran summoned Ukraine’s charge d’affaires and condemned the incident as an act of aggression.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry described the attack as a “hostile and criminal” act, according to state news agency IRNA.

Iran vowed to safeguard its national interests and security in response to the incident.
