Austin ‘AJ’ Scott GiveSendGo: How hero Twin Falls victim came ‘face-to-face’ with gunman Chad Williams

A GiveSendGo was created for Austin 'AJ' Scott, a bystander shot during a shooting at an In-N-Out in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Scott, a former police officer, ran toward the gunfire and came face-to-face with the gunman, Chad Williams, 24, who shot him before killing himself.

The bullet shattered Scott's humerus and severed an artery; his wife and friend, both ER nurses, applied pressure and drove him to the hospital for emergency surgery.

Scott's father, Marcus Scott, said Austin is critically wounded and faces a long recovery; the family is thankful his life was spared.
