Rishab Rikhiram Sharma on bringing the sitar recital to the Commonwealth Games: This feels bigger than any concert

Rishab Rikhiram Sharma will perform a neo-classical sitar set at the 2026 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony on August 2 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

Sharma's performance will feature two compositions, 'Chanakya' and 'Tandavam', which channel courage and valour.

His performance will include choreography for the first time, developed in collaboration with Shiamak Davar.

Sharma will collaborate with Scottish musician Ross Ainslie, combining sitar and Scottish pipes in an India–Scotland collaboration.
