Commonwealth Games 2026: Shankar Mahadevan to perform at closing ceremony with his sons, calls it a ‘huge honour'

Shankar Mahadevan will perform at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony with his sons Siddharth and Shivam.

The performance will include a recreation of the iconic Vande Mataram track originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

A special act by Rashmika Mandanna will be part of the medley performance.

The closing ceremony will also feature the flag handover ceremony for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.

Mahadevan expressed pride in representing India on the global platform and called the selection a 'huge honour'.
