A seaplane crashes into a remote island north of Seattle but all 11 on board are rescued

A seaplane crashed and caught fire on Sucia Island, north of Seattle, with 11 people on board.

All 11 people were rescued by nearby boats and a helicopter.

One person was in critical condition; injuries included head injuries, broken bones, and cuts.

At least five passengers had been discharged from hospitals as of Friday.

The crash occurred around 5:20 p.m. Thursday, less than three weeks after a seaplane incident in New York's East River.
