TikToker Sara Gilson killed in murder-suicide

Sara Gilson, known as Sara Duffey, was murdered by her estranged husband Jeremiah Shawn Duffey in a murder-suicide on July 23, 2026, confirmed by Owasso Police.

The murder-suicide occurred at a residence in Oklahoma; police responded to a 911 call from Sara's son who witnessed the shooting.

Jeremiah Duffey shot Sara before taking his own life, and he had violated a protective order issued to her the previous month.

Sara had sought protective orders against Duffey in 2021 and again in June 2026, alleging threats and inappropriate contact with a child.

A GoFundMe was launched to support Sara's two children, aiming to cover immediate needs following their mother's death.
