Oklahoma influencer killed in murder-suicide

Sara Duffey, an Oklahoma TikTok influencer and hairstylist, was shot dead by her estranged husband Jeremiah Shawn Duffey in a murder-suicide on July 23, 2026.

Sara had been granted a protective order against Shawn last month, which he violated on the night of the shooting; she also filed a protective order in 2021.

The protective order cited Shawn being caught kissing a child on a basketball team he coached; the child's mother also filed a protective order.

Shawn's son witnessed the shooting and alerted a neighbor, who called 911; Shawn then killed himself.

A GoFundMe has been launched to support Sara's two children with immediate needs, counseling, and funeral expenses.
