All clear for Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Mannat’ to grow taller: Supreme Court junks plea against clearance for renovation

The Supreme Court dismissed a plea challenging Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance for renovation of Shah Rukh Khan's bungalow 'Mannat' in Mumbai's Bandra.
The bench, comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohan, questioned the petition's bona fides.
The approved plans include construction of two additional floors at Mannat, which is a Grade III heritage structure.
The plea had challenged a September 2025 order of the National Green Tribunal's Pune bench that upheld the CRZ clearance granted by the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA).
Activist Santosh Daundkar, who filed the plea, had accused Shah Rukh Khan of violations in securing CRZ clearance for the renovation.
