Tejaswin Shankar won bronze in the Commonwealth Games decathlon with 7,976 points, becoming the first Indian to medal in the event.
Shankar overcame a leg injury flare-up two days before the event to compete and win.
He finished the final event, the 1,500m race, in 4:36.19 to secure the bronze.
This is Shankar's second CWG medal, following his high jump bronze at the 2022 Birmingham Games.
Damian Warner of Canada won silver, and Lindon Victor of Grenada took gold.
