'Getting such innings at the start, you get confidence': Sooryavanshi after becoming youngest mens international fifty-scorer

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi became the youngest male cricketer to score an international fifty, achieving the feat at age 15 years and 118 days in the first T20I against Zimbabwe in Harare.

Sooryavanshi smashed an 18-ball half-century, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's previous record of 16 years and 213 days.

He credited the early innings for building confidence, stating, 'When you are in the starting phase of your career, and you get such an innings at the start, you get confidence for the next matches.'

Sooryavanshi had previously announced himself by scoring 175 off 80 balls against England in the U-19 World Cup final in January.
