Chinese national among three held in Noida for running shell firms, hawala racket: UP STF

Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force arrested three persons, including Chinese national Liao Longhui, in Noida for operating a hawala network and shell companies.

Liao Longhui was staying illegally in India after his visa expired and was running YTL Manufacturing Pvt Ltd, which imported raw materials from China at inflated prices.

The gang established fake companies in India and China to illegally transfer large sums of money abroad through hawala channels.

Recovered items include five laptops, nine mobile phones, a forged Aadhaar card with Liao's photo under the name 'Samuel Lotha', and cheques valued at ₹4.72 crore.

The other accused are Sanjeev Kumar of Ghaziabad and Kaushalendra of Auraiya; investigation revealed the firm operated from Sector 83, Noida.
