Aman Arora urges striking Punjab power employees to resume work

Punjab cabinet minister Aman Arora appealed to striking power sector employees to resume work, assuring genuine demands will be met.

Around 18,500 employees (90% of staff) have been on strike since July 21, affecting complaint registration and ground operations.

The strike is causing hardship to nearly 3 crore consumers across Punjab, including farmers during paddy sowing season.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's government already accepted several demands, including jobs for youth and regularization of temporary workers.

A special committee with union representatives is negotiating remaining issues; Arora urged employees to return before talks conclude.
