PSPCL and PSTCL employees extended their strike until July 26, entering its fourth consecutive day.
Employees from Ludhiana's Sahnewal sub-division and Giaspura division joined the strike.
The Joint Forum of power employees and pensioners decided to continue the strike after the Punjab government allegedly failed to address 33 pending demands.
Demands include implementation of the ₹35,400 pay scale, withdrawal of a July 2020 order, release of 18% DA, regular recruitment, and restoration of the Old Pension Scheme.
The government had set a committee with a July 31 deadline, but unions claim it was extended to September 7.
