FIFA World Cup final: New Jersey road closures, traffic advisory - all you need to know ahead of Argentina vs Spain game

Argentina and Spain face off in the FIFA World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on July 19, 2026 at 3pm ET.
No general fan parking or driving to the venue is allowed; transit is mandatory via round-trip rail tickets ($98, capped at 40,000) or the $20 New York New Jersey Stadium Shuttle from select park-and-ride lots.
Rolling road closures are expected near Route 3, Route 120, and the Turnpike’s eastern spur through Sunday afternoon to evening.
President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend the final to hand over the FIFA trophy, and celebrities including BTS, Madonna, Justin Bieber, and Shakira will perform at halftime.
Round-trip rail tickets must be bought in advance and are non-refundable and non-transferable; no tickets will be issued on game day.
