12 held for violent moral policing attack in Bengaluru factory

Police arrested 12 people for a violent mob attack on a private factory in Doddaballapur, Bengaluru.

The attack occurred on July 26; 30-40 armed men stormed the factory, assaulted employees with weapons, and vandalized property.

The incident was triggered by a confrontation involving Anupam Kumar and a female companion near Doddatumkur village.

A complaint was filed by Aravind Bharadwaj, who alleged he was assaulted with wooden logs; Anupam was stabbed.

All 12 accused have been remanded in judicial custody; efforts are ongoing to identify remaining mob members.
