in5points
A mob of around 30 people stormed a battery-manufacturing unit in Bengaluru's Veerapura Industrial Area on July 26, 2026.
Entrepreneur Aravinda Bharadhwaj and a woman were allegedly questioned by locals near KG Kuntanahalli Lake, leading to a chase to the factory.
The mob, armed with machetes and wooden logs, assaulted Aravinda, his business partner Anupam Kumar, and employees, and vandalized the property.
Aravinda alleged the woman was dragged out, molested, and threatened before the mob fled.
Doddaballapur Rural police arrested eight accused, including Harsha, Bharath, and Sandeep, and are searching for others.
