Ludhiana: 33,000 plaints pile up as PSPCL strike enters Day three

PSPCL employees' strike entered Day three in Ludhiana, causing the complaint redressal system to virtually collapse.

Around 33,000 rain-related electricity complaints piled up across the Central Zone between midnight on Wednesday and 6 am on Thursday.

Nearly 90% of PSPCL's technical workforce stayed away from duty, with linemen, junior engineers, grid staff, and call centre employees off duty.

Agar Nagar and Focal Point divisions were among the worst affected areas due to a large number of pending complaints.

The strike exposed PSPCL's existing manpower shortage, severely affecting field operations, fault rectification, and new connections.
