Ludhiana: PSPCL strike extended by 2 days as talks fail

PSPCL employees extended their mass casual leave strike by two additional days after talks with the Punjab government failed.

The strike has disrupted field operations across Ludhiana, with over 18,820 electricity complaints registered in the central zone since Tuesday.

Power supply largely remained unaffected as PSPCL operated grid substations with senior officers deputed in the field.

Employees demand implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission anomalies, payment of 18% pending dearness allowance, restoration of the Old Pension Scheme, and regular recruitment.

PSPCL pensioners joined the protest, demanding implementation of pending DA, restoration of pension-related benefits, and early recruitment.
