Vaughan criticizes Fleming's absence as India Test coach

Stephen Fleming was appointed England's Test coach after Brendon McCullum was sacked, but he will not join the team until the South Africa tour in December.

Michael Vaughan criticized Fleming's delayed start, saying he should be present for the Pakistan series starting August 19 at Headingley.

Vaughan noted that Fleming's job will be tougher than at Chennai Super Kings because England captain Joe Root is no MS Dhoni.

Fleming won five IPL titles and two Champions League titles during his 17 years with Chennai Super Kings under MS Dhoni's captaincy.

Vaughan suggested Fleming's success at CSK was partly due to Dhoni running the ship and a strong backroom staff, including bowling coach Eric Simons.
