Mangaon Police Book Seven Tour Operators And Instagram Influencers For Promoting Illegal Trips To Devkund

Mangaon Police booked seven accused including tour operators and Instagram account holders for promoting trips to prohibited Devkund Waterfall.
The FIR was filed after two tourists drowned at Devkund Waterfall in Raigad despite monsoon restrictions under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
The accused operated Instagram accounts sahyadrikkers, parvat_mastake, wonder_walkers, zestwanders, dongaryatra.official, camp_india_pune, and eco_pandhari to advertise and organize trips.
Police said social media promotions encouraged visits during the ban period from July 1 to September 30, violating prohibitory orders by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate.
No arrests have been made yet and investigation continues to determine further involvement.
