'Jana Nayagan' BO day 2 (Live): Vijay's film reaches another milestone

Jana Nayagan earned Rs 50.97 crore India gross as of Day 2, with Rs 43.29 crore net in India.

Tamil Nadu led Day 1 collections with nearly Rs 24 crore domestic gross, followed by Karnataka (Rs 11.25 crore) and Kerala (Rs 5.52 crore).

Vijay's farewell film is directed by H. Vinoth and stars Vijay, Mamitha Baiju, and Bobby Deol with music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Despite mostly negative critic reviews, the film has strong audience support and packed shows nationwide.

Weekend collections are expected to further boost the film's earnings as audiences continue to throng theaters.
