Gurugram: DC office, district court gets hoax bomb threat

A hoax bomb threat email was sent to the Gurugram deputy commissioner’s office and the newly inaugurated Tower of Justice on Friday morning.

Bomb disposal squads and dog squads were deployed, and both locations were evacuated and searched, but no suspicious objects were found.

Gurugram police spokesperson Sandeep Turan said the threat was declared a hoax, and the investigation is continuing to trace the email's IP address.

The email specified attack times: 2.11pm for the district courts and 3.11pm for the deputy commissioner’s office.

This incident follows a similar hoax threat less than three weeks ago targeting the mini-secretariat and nine schools in Gurugram, with an email traced to Bangladesh.
