'Pakistani propaganda accounts': PIB fact-checks AI-generated videos of Dharmendra Pradhan, Piyush Goyal

PIB fact-checked AI-generated videos of Union ministers Piyush Goyal and Dharmendra Pradhan, calling them fake and digitally altered.

Neither Goyal nor Pradhan made the statements attributed to them in the clips, according to PIB's Fact Check Unit.

Piyush Goyal alleged a deepfake video using AI was circulated to falsely attribute remarks about student protests, and an FIR was registered at Chanakyapuri Police Station.

Goyal warned of strict legal action against those responsible for creating or amplifying the deepfake, and urged reliance on verified sources.
