The Odyssey box office collection day 1: Christopher Nolan's epic sails past ₹17 crore in India

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey earned ₹17.40 crore net on its opening day in India.

The film grossed ₹20.76 crore overall with 48.7% average theatre occupancy.

The English version contributed ₹13.75 crore, while Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil versions added smaller amounts.

The Odyssey ranks among the biggest Hollywood openers in India, trailing Avatar: Fire and Ash and Deadpool & Wolverine.

The fantasy action film, inspired by Homer's epic, stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as Telemachus, and Anne Hathaway as Penelope.
