BJP slams ‘selective outrage’ against journalists during NEET protests, says attacks ‘unacceptable’

BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya said attacks on journalists during NEET protests at Jantar Mantar were 'unacceptable' and that women journalists were subjected to sexual abuse.

Malviya criticised 'selective outrage', stating some media personnel were abused while others were treated as part of the CJP protest.

Malviya called for consistent standards in assessing media independence, saying it 'should apply consistently to everyone'.

NEET protests led by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) continued for 25 days, resulting in the resignation of education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a fast-track court for paper leaks and unfair practices in public examinations after the protests.
