UP: Principal, 10 others held for allegedly using 'solvers' in ITI exam
Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) arrested 11 people, including Government ITI principal Ashok Kumar and exam in-charge Ravi Prakash, for allowing impersonators in the All India Trade Test CBT exam.
The five alleged solvers were Shivam Kumar, Ranvijay Singh, Jai Singh, Jitendra Patel, and Dileep Kumar; four instructors were Phool Prakash, Dheeraj Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, and Rajkumar Maurya.
The STF recovered ₹5.10 lakh in cash, ₹16,370 from personal search, photocopies of five admit cards, and electronic equipment including computer monitors, CPUs, keyboards, and mice from the exam centre in Naini.
The suspects allegedly took money from weak candidates in exchange for letting solvers take the exam from a separate room; a case was registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The CBT exam was being conducted in three shifts from July 11 to August 8, with the raid occurring on July 30, 2026.
