Punjab CM must reveal status of poll promises, says Saini

Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday said Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann should tell people how many of the Aam Aadmi Party's pre-poll promises have been fulfilled, with about four months left before Punjab assembly elections.

Saini, speaking at an event marking the 87th martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh in Sanaur, said only a BJP government could fulfill the dreams envisioned by Udham Singh for youth development.

Saini targeted the Punjab government over alleged irregularities in excise inspector recruitments, calling it a grave injustice to deserving youths.

Referring to a claim that Punjab had fulfilled only 30% of its electoral promises, Saini asked Mann to reveal the actual number implemented and whether remaining commitments can be fulfilled in four months.

Saini compared BJP's Haryana manifesto of 217 'Sankalps' in 2024, of which 70 have been fulfilled in one-and-a-half years and the rest to be implemented soon.
