Delhi Metro status today: 18 stations closed; Janpath stop covered with newspapers

Delhi Metro stations were closed on July 24, 2026, due to security arrangements for the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar.
Janpath station, the closest to Jantar Mantar, had its entry glass panels covered with newspapers by the CISF.
Interchange facilities remained available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, and Central Secretariat stations, according to the DMRC.
The full list of closed stations includes Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, Jhandewalan, and New Delhi.
The protest involved tear gas shelling and lathi charges, and the closures affected thousands of daily commuters in Central Delhi.
