Juvenile among 4 held for arson attack on Amritsar police post

Four accused, including a juvenile, were arrested for the arson attack on the Chamiari police post in Amritsar.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said the accused were in contact with an ISI-sponsored handler via social media and received funds to execute the attack.

The attack occurred on the night of July 21-22 when motorcycle-borne assailants hurled a petrol bomb at the post; no one was injured.

The arrested included Karanbir Singh, alias Gora, Manideep Singh, Pardeep Singh, alias Love, and a juvenile; Manideep and Pardeep planned the attack, Karanbir and the juvenile executed it.

An FIR was registered at Ajnala police station under sections including attempt to murder, organized crime, and terrorist act.
