Nashik-Gujarat Highway Accident: 4 Killed, 1 Critically Injured After Car Gets Crushed Between 2 Container

A car was crushed between two container trucks on the Nashik-Peth-Gujarat National Highway (NH-848) at Sawal Ghat on July 15, 2026.

The accident allegedly occurred after a brake failure; four people died, including three on the spot and one en route to hospital, and one person is critically injured.

The victims were part of a family returning to Silvassa after visiting Saptashrungi Gad in Nashik.

Peth Police Station Inspector Sameer Kedar confirmed the victims are yet to be identified.

The container truck driver fled the scene; police have registered a case and investigation is underway.
