30-year-old Hyderabad chef hacked to death: Police

Chinnapalli Bhaskar, a 30-year-old chef, was hacked to death by five assailants in Hyderabad's Madhapur area on July 14, 2026.

Bhaskar worked at a hotel in Ayyappa Society and was in a relationship with a woman whose family opposed it due to caste differences.

The woman was married to another man three years ago but later divorced; Bhaskar allegedly continued to stalk her.

The woman's father suspected Bhaskar caused the divorce and threatened revenge; the assailants attacked Bhaskar with knives and sticks outside his hostel.

Two suspects, including the woman's father, reportedly surrendered; police registered a murder case and are investigating.
