India crush Zimbabwe by 90 runs as Shreyas Iyer clinches first series win as captain

India defeated Zimbabwe by 90 runs in the second T20I, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Half-centuries from Ishan Kishan (81 off 44) and Tilak Varma, followed by a bowling effort led by Abhishek Sharma (3/17), helped India post 219/5 and bowl Zimbabwe out for 129.

The victory gave captain Shreyas Iyer his first T20I series win after previous losses to Ireland (0-2) and England (0-4).

Zimbabwe lost five wickets inside the first nine overs while chasing 220, with Brian Bennett scoring 32 off 19 before being dismissed by debutant Yash Thakur (2/30).

India faced an injury concern as pacer Prince Yadav walked off with a hamstring issue after bowling 1.2 overs (2/10).
