Who is Yash Thakur? Vidarbha pacer making his India debut against Zimbabwe
Yash Thakur, a 27-year-old fast bowler from Vidarbha, made his India debut in the second T20I against Zimbabwe on July 25, 2026.
He replaced Ashok Sharma in the playing XI after Ashok went wicketless in the series opener.
Before his debut, Thakur had played 74 T20 matches, taking 110 wickets, and 22 IPL matches for Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings, claiming 27 wickets.
He recently represented India A in a tri-series in Sri Lanka, taking five wickets in three matches, and also played two unofficial Tests against Sri Lanka A with five wickets.
