Hoshiarpur: Murdered AAP sarpanch’s family holds protest, alleges police inaction

Aam Aadmi Party sarpanch Satpal, alias Mintu, 52, was killed outside his residence in Hoshiarpur's Anandgarh village on Tuesday night.

He was attacked with sharp-edged weapons and run over by the assailants' vehicle when he intervened in a clash between two groups.

Police have booked six persons and arrested four, but the family protests, alleging inaction and demanding arrest of all main accused.

Deceased's son Rahul alleged that absconding accused chased them to the hospital, causing delay, and that one suspect remains free.

Police deny inaction; SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik said efforts are ongoing to arrest the absconding accused.
