'We don't have helicopters': Muslim side alleges namaz site too far from Bhojshala
Supreme Court agreed to hear Muslim side's plea on July 29 after it alleged MP government failed to provide adjacent site for Friday namaz near Bhojshala complex in Dhar.
Senior advocate Huzefa Ahmadi said allocated site is 1.3 km away by road, while solicitor general Tushar Mehta said it is 900 m away.
Ahmadi remarked 'We don't have helicopters' to argue the site is too far for prayer.
Court had on July 14 directed state to identify open space adjacent to Bhojshala for Friday prayers (1–3 pm) until final decision.
Bhojshala complex is a protected monument claimed by Hindus as Saraswati temple and by Muslims as Kamal Maula Mosque.
